Goldens are very adaptable. A Golden Retriever of any age with a good temperament can become a member of the family in a very short time. Please keep in mind that a change in environment and companionship will be a very confusing and scary time for them.
Goldens are a very intimate, affectionate breed and become very closely attached to their families and their caregivers.Therefore they will need a family that is willing to be patient and allow them to become accustomed to their new environment as gradually as they need. This will be different for each Golden.
If you are interested in being notified when an older Golden becomes available - please contact us for additional information. A veterinarian reference and a scheduled visitation is required before being considered a potential adoptive family.
